Rick Davis, Managing Partner
Rick is the firm's founding partner and sole investor. As Managing Partner, Rick provides long-range vision, helps set strategic focus, and spearheads the investment activities. Rick graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1974. Early in his career Rick was a multiple-location franchisee of Speedy Printing of Texas. In 1987, Rick sold his chain of print shops and founded NightRider Overnight Copy Service, a photocopying company that caters to the legal profession. Rick led NightRider through its start-up and expansion, building it very quickly into a nation-wide company and the biggest of its kind in the United States. This growth was achieved organically. Within 7 years NightRider had offices in every major US city and more than 2000 employees. Rick sold the company to IKON in 1992. Rick remained CEO until early 1994, when he left to form CCG Venture Partners.

In 1995, Rick bought a fledgling IT company in Atlanta that grew to become Extreme Logic, an Internet company with offices in many US cities. In 2000, Microsoft not only named Extreme Logic as it's Nation Partner of the Year (out of 15,000 candidate companies in North America), but also made a major investment in the company. In October of 2003, Microsoft and CCG both sold their interests in Extreme Logic to Hewlett Packard. Today Rick is focusing on developing a radical new approach to the auto service and repair business under the trademark Domestic Auto Experts.
